The weekend was great. It wasn’t exciting or sleep depriving. It was just enjoyable. So up front – I did nothing techy. I hopped in my Chevy and drove around this beautiful area of California. As I came into Irvine on the Friday I noticed the mountains behind it and so on Saturday I decided to see them. I headed towards them, drove around them, drove to a lake behind them and then drove through them. The Ortega Highway is a fantastic bit of road. Unfortunately the Chevy wasn’t the ideal car for the journey (or maybe I was just jealous of the stream of sporty 2 seaters I saw on the road), but it is a great mountain drive. Sunday was a relaxing day. I braved the crowds at the William R Mason Regional Park before heading to Laguna Beach to watch the sunset – my first westerly sunset. Southern California is a really beautiful place & to the people of California, thanks for sharing it.
